A visit to El Matador State Beach was a lovely way to spend the Monday afternoon with my friend Nic after Hurd Peak. The beach is in Malibu, and costs about $8.00 for parking. Being a weekday it was relatively quiet. I liked El Matador Beach because it wasn’t typical of Los Angeles coastline, and I had fun enjoying it and capturing in different ways.
The ocean has an amazing ability to make people ponder. I think this quote from Swami Sivananda is a nice one to accompany thoughts at the beach.
A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth.
The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water.
Even so, life is but an endless series of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts.
And the consequences whether good or bad, of even the least of them, are far-reaching.
